Work release inmate Lay tested positive for marijuana on 10-02-2018. He will need to be tested again in 30 days. He was informed that if he fails the drug test in 30 days he will be taken off of work release.

Inmate Seifferlein has a doctors appointment on 8-9-2018 with Dr. Robbins in Cass City at 1015 hrs.

I verified the appointment with Dr. Robbins office and they stated that the appointment is necessary.

Jacobs, Leonard sentenced to 365 in the county

On 07/25/2018 Leonard Jacobs was sentenced to 365 days in the Sanilac County Jail consecutive to his prison sentence.  There is no determination when that prison sentence will end being it a parole revocation.  Once he maxes out or is paroled he will come back here for 1 year.

Macias Write up

Dep. Macias was given a two year written reprimand on 7/12/18. It covered a variety of problem areas that he struggles with. He will continue post 5 through this current schedule and we will be meeting as to his progress approximately every three weeks. If anyone has issues concerning him, please pass them along to me so they can be addressed accordingly.

Doctor visit with Bonin

Per Lt. Romzek, inmate Bonin is not allowed to be visited by a Psychiatric Doctor unless he can provide an order from the court. As of today, no order had been given by the court. If he attempts to come in with Inmate Bonin’s attorney without the order, we should not allow him in.

Sack lunches

I spoke with Cliff in the kitchen this morning and informed him that he needs to have at least 15 sack lunches in the cooler every night when he leaves. This morning we were short 7 for the transport and had to wait for them to be made. This is an inconvenience for the transport team and hopefully this will help avoid anymore issues.

Vacation

I will be on vacation from 7-14 thru 7-22.  I will be available by phone .

Jacobs Written up

On 7/28/18  Deputy Jacobs had not yet arrived for work at 0502.  Sgt Tank called him and did not get an answer.  She left a message but then called again right after.  Dep Jacobs answered the second call.  Sgt Tank asked him if he was coming into work today.  He stated that he was on his way, he told her that he had a flat tire which was causing him to run late but he was on the way now.  Sgt Tank asked him why he didn't call if he knew he was going to be late.  He told her that he was going to call but he got "running around" and forgot.  Sgt Tank stated that it sounded like he had just woke up.  At about 0525 he called back and I answered.  He told me that he was really embarrassed that he didn't call and that he was on his way but it would be about 30 minutes.  I advised him to just make it here as soon as he could.  Dep Jacobs will be given a coaching slip by me.  I don't know if this was his first time or not but he was either untruthful about having a flat tire or was negligent for not calling.  Since I can not prove either one he is just getting a coaching slip on being late.  Jacobs is on a two year notice if hes late again disciplinary action will be taken

Inmate Herrington informed me on Saturday that he has a couple of CMH appointments coming up in the near future that he was not sure of the dates. If this could be checked on Monday and scheduled that would be great.

Kiosk in F

Swanson was contacted reference the Kiosk in F pod not working accurately in areas that are highly used. There first attempt to fix was by way of re-calibration. Another call was made after this did not fix the problem. The second attempt another re-calibration was attempted and also the drivers were un-installed. After these attempts were made with no luck, a ticket #105801 was given and they will be replacing the lower screen area after we receive the equipment via a delivery company.  The package received will come in from Trinity/Keefe, or KCN. Please contact Swanson (800-435-7742) back for a Tech to come out once package is received.

A pod visit terminal

A pod back visitation terminal is currently broken. Parts are on order. They are being shipped here and when they come in, we need to contact Securus to come here to fix.

tether charger

Inmate Mack has a tether charger in Dmax. As long as he continues to be the only inmate in Dmax, it should remain plugged into the electrical outlet by MC2 window. He needs time out daily to charge it as well.

Cell 10 razor not returned/utl

Inmate Stone (cell 10) took a razor on 5/30/18 and it was never returned. We performed a cell search of cell 10 today and were utl.

Lorenzo Lerma

Inmate Lorenzo Lerma will be coming to our facility via Transcor or another agency. Under no circumstances shall he be released until his return to Florida via another transporting agency per Lucy at the Prosecutors office. Lerma should be here sometime before middle of June.

Inmate Doug Mack

Just FYI, I took Inmate Mack to Circuit Court for a motion hearing. Judge Teeple approved for him to have work release Monday thru Friday now from 0800 to 1700 hrs. Judge Teeple is also allowing him to go to doctor and dentist appointments while out on work release. Seems kinda out of the ordinary to me but that is what he ordered. This is suppose to start Wednesday May 2nd. Just wanted to pass along.

Huron Co polyccom

Huron County District Court would like to video arraign Arnold Lee Stone on Wednesday, May 2nd at 1430 hrs. I advised them to call 15 minutes prior to give time to get him down. They will also call back when they are ready to proceed.

Water leak behind A11

Continue to monitor behind A pod. A leak turned into a major fix and an attempt was made Thursday, but a part needed ordered. Lakeshore will be back at 0600 on Monday 4/23/2018 per Lt. Moody.

Possible missing razor

On 4/18/2018, B pod was searched for a missing razor. A Crayola shaperner attached to a box of crayons was removed from the cell, but no razor was found. To date, it is unknown if it ever existed in the box or if it was lost. Inmates Burkett and McClellan were both released at night after razor pass. The log did not show they received anything, but still unclear.
